Liam_Sullivan Posted October 1, 2001 Posted October 1, 2001 Probably not cos it's only in Australia and New Zealand but it's like 1/3 muay thai 1/3 grappling and 1/3 old style stuff from karate and stuff like that just wanting too know you thoughts on it if you have heard of it.
Angus Posted October 1, 2001 Posted October 1, 2001 Yeah, 'twas my first martial art if i remember correctly. I did it for about 2.5 years, and it was very kickboxeresque. I did an ungraded version of it under my brother. Hmm, if i ever come across a zendokai school i might join up again. Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.

Angus Posted October 1, 2001 Posted October 1, 2001 Liam pretty much summed it up in his post up the top. It's a VERY hardcore style and it seems to try and cover every aspect of fighting, not just one. It's called zendokai KARATE but it's very different form other forms of karate i've ever seen. I have a mate who did something that he thought was similar, called Zen Chi Ryu, but i don't think it was quite a grapply as zendokai. Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.

Angus Posted October 2, 2001 Posted October 2, 2001 Good on ya... zendokai's one of the only forms of 'karate' i like... Unfortunately u still have to do kata in it - but kata IS the heart of karate. Angus Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.
