Treebranch Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 I like Icetuete's list very much. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
Icetuete Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 yeah, wing chun and aikido are well for self defense. although i somehow get the impression u were not really serious about your list...
WolverineGuy Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 My humble opinion: PRO WRESTLING!!! jk in no particular order: Muay Thai BJJ Judo Arnis Krav Maga Wolverine1st Dan - Kalkinodo"Shut up brain, or I'll stab you with a q-tip""There is no spoon."
jeffrogers Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 No I wasn't serious about my list. lol! here is my real list Jeet Kune do Mauy thai BJJ Wrestling Boxing judo and training on 9mm or other hand guns as well. thank you. -Jeff
Treebranch Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 All good multiple attacker arts? "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
TJS Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 All good multiple attacker arts? Judo or MT could be applied to multiple attackers if taught for it. But most schools wont foucus on that.
jeffrogers Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 But Jeet kune do does. There is no mulitple attacker art. Just concepts to deal with them. Still I don't care how bad some one is trained. Odds ares still against you. Hopefully they are cowards which they are because they are all jumping you. So there cowards at heart. But hopefully there skill level sucks to. As well as they aren't armed or high in number. But even then the odds are still against you. I see what you mean but still good arts. -Jeff
Treebranch Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 Yeah, but they're against you even more if you've never trained for it. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
Drunken Monkey Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 and like someone once told me. the training hall is for learning. outside is where you should be practicing. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
