Drunken Monkey
ok. you said that no one will ever agree on a best art. if no one can decide which is best, it is reasonable to say that there is no best. afterall, if there is one best style, then surely it would be obvious as to which one it is. i.e if there was one best style, no one would argue about it. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite." aznkarateboi
"i.e if there was one best style, no one would argue about it." Why do you think so? So many styles claim to be the best that no one can be sure which one actually is. Unless as I said earlier a detailed analysis was done of every art. And even then every one has their own biases. But if any style is better than another for self defense, i.e. KM and TKD, then the one that is better than the rest is the best, no? I'm going to eat dinner with my friends now. Drunken Monkey
but no one art is going to be truely better because there will always be another argument as to why it isn't. the point is, all arts have flaws. some are good against some but weak against others. that is why mixed martial arts are so popular. they take the strong bits of all arts and train in the moves that work. the fact that it is called "MIXED martial arts" kinda suggests that even the pros accept that training in just one art (even a supposedly superior art) is not enough. post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
