fireka Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 i have three, very developed personalities who all have there own intentions, completing any two, or maybe even one of these would be good, because there all three very diffrent and difficult goals. oh well. 1. Join a national level intellegence gathering agency. spies run in my family, id love to be the fifth generation. ive already signed up for the Navy as an Advanced Technical Field Intellegence Specialist (thank you good ASVAB scores) but shoot, now that ive told you ill have to kill you! 2. publish at least two fiction novels, one of which must win a prize on a national/international level. 3. compete in K-1, i say just compete, because i figure if I get in the ring, victory is in the bag. "i could dance like that!.......if i felt like it...." -Master Betty
mArTiAl_GiRl Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 MA Short term Got to get my green belt, I'm waiting for wearing it soon! I have graduation in August! Yikes, I have to prepare already. I also have learn Seienchin kata completely. Start competing again in September. Long term 1) To bring Hayashi-ha Shito-ryu style to Estonia! But first, I have to get a black belt in Wado-ryu and Shito-ryu. I'll go to America or Sweden to practise in Minakami Karate Dojo. And have my own Dojo, where I put all my MA things. And I think I'll also open that Dojo for those who wants to practise karate and the style is going to be Shito-ryu there. 2) Practise swordmanship. I have to swing a sword at least once in my life! And get some Sai training too. LIFE Short term Got to get some friends in Estonia who aren't estonians, that would be cool! And learn languages really good, so that I can talk more fluently. I have to go to Language Camps. And gotta do more art! Long term I have to finish High School in a swedish school, where I can practise my swedish language and then, I'll go to an University in Sweden or in another country to study Archeology, it depends. Kill is love
sansoouser Posted July 16, 2003 Posted July 16, 2003 Ya my short term is to get atleast a yodan in judo, in the next few years. My long term would be to run a martial arts school. I'd also like to be a cartoonist, I already have a comic I use in my high school paper. Or an actor or comedian, I do alot of school plays and theatre work all over, and do comedy shows at talent shows. And I want to try to be a great martial artist if not the best. The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.
axechick Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 i dont have anything in mind right now... Long term - get my taekwondo black belt 1st dan AzN TaeKwonDo Chic...
telsun Posted November 1, 2003 Author Posted November 1, 2003 What are your short term and long term martial art and non martail art goals? Mine: MA Short term: Win an interclub comp and obtain long overdue 2nd dan in Goju. Maintain Jujitsu practice. Long term: Run a MA school, make many MA friends, obtain BB in Jujitsu (a bit cliche but a goal none the less ) LIFE Short term: Finish decorating living room, clear debt Long term: Continue to be a good father and husband, make more time for people. Decide what career I should persue! If you wish to add time limits then please feel free. Setting deadlines often help goals become achievements rather than dreams. Well the comp. never happened, but I would've won it!! I didn't stick with the JJ. I have finished the living room but the debt is going to take a while. NEW SHORT TERM MA GOALS Achieve 2nd dan at end of November. Establish MA connections within my area, train at local clubs. Drive myself forward in my association. I keep asking God what I'm for and he tells me........."gee I'm not sure!"
