battousai16
i doubt i'd go if i had the chance; i wouldn't wanna go on international television with those little speedo things on. i'll spare the world that sight. i would like to fight one of those UFC guys, though, just to be like "yeah, i fought that Bas guy. i went easy on the guy, he'd had a rough day". best of luck on your quest for greatness, though "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai

TJS i have been in a few full contact matches one was with a person form our local Tae Kwon Do club, i beat the TKDist. i have only been in like a couple full contact matches at one of our tounements and that was about it, otherwise iv only been in point sparring matches with light contact but i usually i sparr with heavy contact, in class we sparr with somewhat heavy contact, the lower belts do light contact, i dont. When me and my sensei sparr we do full contact most of the time, we dont allow punches to the face while we sparr. "When I fight, I fight with my heart, and soul. granmasterchen
well i am a long time practitioner of TKD i have also written research papers on it there are two mahor types of TKD one is the sport based art that emphasis high and flashy kicks the other is a hybrid system that combines many of the arts into one yet still focuses on the combat element.... the first also based on the combat but over years it developed into dances and such and became a sport in an effort to keep the style alive, so you have the sport and you have the actual art, today many only see the sport, the combat one is only practised by a select few through out the world... if you would like the whole paper, story or more info please feel free to PM me That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger
SBN Doug
With that, I'm going to close this thread. This is a Korean Arts forum. The purpose is for Korean stylists to discuss those arts, as they are the ones practicing them. This is not a forum to come in and critisize them.
