thaiboxerken Posted October 2, 2001 Posted October 2, 2001 Why jump at all? What does that have to do with fighting? If you really want to jump around, go outside in the grass. You can jump inside also, you just have to learn how to absorb the impact of the landind so you don't bang on the floor and disturb your neighbor, in other words, land softly. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
kicker Posted October 2, 2001 Posted October 2, 2001 one thing to add to that try it on the carpet it wont hurt your feet that much or just thought of it!! you could put on some shoes or special ones that are soft and when you jump the don`t make that much nosie or dont jump really high just enough to do what your doing!! when you do your best it`s going to show. owthathurts Posted October 3, 2001 Author Posted October 3, 2001 Hi guys Hi thaiboxerken I know what you're saying. But I'm not learning butterfly kicks or jump kicks to use in a fight. I'm learning them because I enjoy learning wushu and I think it would be cool to be able to do them. Yes I could land softly, but I definitely don't have enough to do anything like jump kicks that require a lot of room to run first. Especially because I live in a apartment. Hi kicker I'm not quite sure how high I have to jump to do the kicks in wushu. Hello Gold Dragon.
kicker Posted October 3, 2001 Posted October 3, 2001 well try it and see if any or our ideas work!!! when you do your best it`s going to show. "If you watch the pros, You will learn something new"
mikeod Posted October 5, 2001 Posted October 5, 2001 right owth, 4get wot they just said, right. Go to your Dojang (gym wotever you call it) and ask when there is spare sapce that you could use for practicing. Get a few ppl who need room to practice ( there must be others!) and ask when there is any sapce. like weekends or sommat, yer? ) Ok i hope that that will help you "You need emotianal content, not anger!"Bruce Lee (Li) - Enter The Dragon."Water is the softest substance in the world, and yet it is the hardest, it can penotrate the hardest rock or cliff, and it is insubstantial, by this i mean it c
