ya sparring is practicing against an opponent you can go full contact in some MA's like judo but others are to dangerous and either go slow mo or light contact or only certain contact point

But you could spar in anything practically, with swords chess checkers cooking

The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.

I disagree, playfighting is simply playfighting and sparring is sparring.

Sparring is full contact fighting in martial arts as far as I am concerned and anything like point sparring is playfighting, because it is not based on reality training.

One could argue that playfighting is playfighting and sparring is sparring.. but one could also argue that sparring is sparring and fighting is fighting..

While we're talking translation.. I've managed to deduce the meaning of troll.. but I'm just wondering where that word is used, and by whom?

Keep Smiling!

Sparring is a rather difficult word to directly define by a martial artist because it's not easy to describe without using words like "Fighting" and the like. But using "fighting" to define sparring is incorrect, as fighting only describes real combat, while sparring is a controlled action used to simulate combat through use of slowed or reduced-contact attacks, not that most of you don't know what sparring is to begin with.
