Fenris-wolf Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I wouldn't actually know what anime music would sound like, actually. I've never seen a single movie or anything. I think for you it's different, since you're obviously quite focussed on forms etc. Whereas my club we do a lot of padwork and sparring, so it's a lot more casual. mArTiAl_GiRl Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 i pretty much do everything, though my favorite is classic rock and i have a problem with modern rock. Some pop is okay, but the good stuff is barried in so much crap its hard to tell! i like Madonna, and i like whoever did that "There not gonna get us" yes, the video was gay.....literaly,....but the song is pretty good. "There not gonna get us".... Oh.. that is Tatu. A russian group. It's very, very popular in Estonia. Some estonians don't like it, russians like it more of course.. I liked it though......well, and this is another thing that makes me an east-european again.. But, the video is freeky. Kill is love
mArTiAl_GiRl Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 how do so many piano players exist!?! i swear, the piano is the single most impossible instrument to play. ever. hands down. i can't for the life of me play it. good thing i never have to, except for mallets, but i'm thinking that's slightly less difficult. Impossible instrument? God it's so easy! I play piano and flute. I played flute in Sweden and piano in Estonia. I prefer flute.. Kill is love
monkeygirl Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 "There not gonna get us".... Oh.. that is Tatu. A russian group. It's very, very popular in Estonia. Yeah, I think T.A.T.U. has a pretty cool sound, and I like their two singles. But I do remember vaguely wondering one day "why are two girls saying 'all the things SHE said'? Ah, maybe they're just talking about their moms or something." So then I'm flipping through channels, land on MTV2 (the only channel of MTV that actually SHOWS music videos anymore, even if most of them are pretty crappy), and look at that! It's TATU! "Hey mom, check this out, isn't this a cool song? Hey, who's she kissing?" .... ... ............. :o "Um, methinks I'll change the channel now." 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
battousai16 Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 i still haven't heard their new single, i don't listen to the radio or watch music tv; as fireka stated, there's to much mindless crap. and how can you say that the piano is easy!?! there are so many keys and you have to use so many fingers at so many speeds and the notes go by so fast! the marimba is hard enough, i can't imagine having to play piano! "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
Shorin Ryuu Posted July 23, 2003 Posted July 23, 2003 I used to play the piano back in the day...and the trumpet...but not anymore. I sing in choir though. Martial Arts Blog:http://bujutsublogger.blogspot.com/
Fenris-wolf Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 Marimba? Hehe, how cool. Anyway, you don't play piano because you have to! Once you get to a certain level you have the enjoyment of the sound and the feeling of playing. But that's just me. Let Us Turn The Jump Rope In Accord With Socialist Principles!
battousai16 Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 i guess. i could never get past the point of: Me: my fingers really hurt and i have to goto the bathroom. i'm 'making virtually no progress. can i take a quick brake? Piano teacher: NO! YOU MUST KEEP PLAYING! Me: come on, it's my third day without food or water, for the love of god, please, have mercy! Piano Teacher: that's it,you've just given your self another beating! ok, maybe i exagerated a little, but my point still stands "I hear you can kill 200 men and play a mean six string at the same time..."-Six String Samurai
