Thuggish Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 little story i heard from a reliable source, rest assured, about a guy who was in no mood to be harassed by two cops in cali (they were, however, within their rights in doing what they did.) hes riding his bike to the gym and the two cops go to stop him, kid figures man i didnt do nothin leave me alone im not cooperatin at all. cops wont have it, one goes to grab him so the kid- trained in jiujitsu and kickboxing (and was wearing no shirt, but harley boots with the steel plate in the bottom) grabs the cops arm and twists it around- thumb grab kinda thing- and kicks the other cop side-kick style with his harley boots on. ended up four cops had to take him down. the kid was lucky enough to eventually get away with it on account of bein a good kid every other day of his life... and im not condoning the act, but its kind of a funny story when a judge more or less laughs at the cops. anyway, it just goes to show you never know who knows how to do what- this kid really wasnt that big a guy or anything... just good. a broken arm throws no punches
unknown Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 i know of a man who at the time was a blue belt in jiu jitsu ended up shoulder throwing a cop when he grabbed him.
TJS Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 the thing is OC spray is the best MA style out there and they wont hesitate to use it Usually attacking a cop is a bad thing since the carry batons, pistols, tazers etc and they take it pretty seriously.
Tibby Posted June 29, 2003 Posted June 29, 2003 Not to mention the time we would spend in prison for assaulting a cop. Cop are for the most part over-weight chain smoker with GED’s, to beat up a cop doesn’t make you good, it make you an idiot. The Courts will believe an over-weight high school drop with a blue/black/tan uniform over a PhD with a 10th Dan Black belt who pastors a church!
Thuggish Posted June 29, 2003 Author Posted June 29, 2003 yea... definitely stupid id have to agree. but still good enough at MA's to do that to two people who are trained in ways of taking people down. i dunno, when you hear a story like that it just makes you take a second thought about how good you think you are compared to some shmoe on the street. oh, and if youre curious, the kid did get off easy because he was a great student, and a mormon believe it or not, so they marched in all these character witnesses or something like that and they apparently got a really lenient judge. lucky him. a broken arm throws no punches

Tibby Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 Must have been a first time offender. Or a mythical charactor.
