SandanPJ Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 Depends on the total number of full-time instructors and students...
SaiFightsMS Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 With a multi-rank set up in class it gives an opportunity to set up teaching and responsibility opportunities for students as they rise in rank to assist those behind them. Example as new techniques are introduced to ranks an upper belt may be asked to go take a group of underbelts off to the side and work with them on just doing the technique or kata segment over and over. By doing that not only are they helping those coming up behind them but they are improving their own understanding.
karatekid1975 Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 My dojang splits the kids classes by rank, but not the adults. The same with my old TSD dojang. I liked it. I can work with higher ranks and learn faster. Laurie F
kajukenbo dad Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 I don,t mind mixing color belts, as long as they have their time too, sometime the white belts are a bit slow and the color belts get bored too And brow and black need there training time together....Good Luck........That,s why the have open class,s on Sat. Practice is the best of all instructors...
