Shotokan_Fighter Posted July 7, 2003 Share Posted July 7, 2003 tkd vs shotokan shotokan hands down , id much rather take up shotokan karate than tkd. ahotokan is better for fighting (self defense). i have beaten a tkdist at our local tkd club. but that dosent mean shotokan is better, that just ment i was a better fighter. tkd does to many fancy kicks that wont work well in the street, they work better in the ring.
