That's right we muaythai fighters kick @ass in stand up, but crappy on ground I'll be first to admit it.

A muaythai fighter is terrible at grappling just as a grappler is terrible at stand up.

You become good only in what you train in,however of all stand up martial arts we will win 9 out of 10x.

If we have such a good track record for winning it must mean we are doing something right.

MuayThai is THE BEST STAND UP art.

You karate guys kick with top of foot and heel which is pointless,we kick with shins and knees, more effective way of kicking.

Mix the two arts and you have an unbeatable art.

I do Pankration which combines MuayThai and Grappling(Submission Wrestling).

We do everything from jabs,right cross,hooks,upper cuts,shin kicks,knee kicks,elbow strikes,stand up neck wrestling,throws,flips,reversals,arm bars,leg locks,ankle locks,knee bars,wrist locks,to different kinds of chokes etc.

We do the exact same stuff proven to win in UFC.

Mixed styles are always the best especially if they include MuayThai.

it just has kicking and punching but no joint locks. really makes me wonder. and why are most muay thai fighter so arrogant? i have already won against a muay thai fighter in sparring because he was * in sparring. why do people consider it effective?

Why are we so arrogant? That's because we can afford to since we win 9 out of 10x.

You say you won against a muaythai fighter, well he was either new at muaythai or just simply sucked.Besides you are talking about one person only.

In general MuayThai fighters can't be beat in stand up.

The reason people consider MuayThai so effective is because it takes less time to become a good fighter then any art that waistes time with katas.

Someone with as little as 6months to 1yr.experience in MuayThai can in general beat anyone with 3 or more years experience in karate and other traditional asian martial arts.
