TJS Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 i guess NOTHING AT ALL as well refers to the boxing gyms. Thanks Newbalance.....
stephen lee Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 lots of ignorance portrayed in this thread! here are some examples: A boxer throws a hook, a ShaoLin intercepts and applys a ChinNa. A ShaoLin directs a cranebeak, a boxer parrys and hooks. a wrestler goes low for left leg, a MuiThai knees him in the face. do you see? its not JUST about the art, but the variety and situation it is applied to. it is THE PRACTITIONER that determines the outcome of a fight, not the "style".... I study WuShu... you could try to "punch me in the jaw" but I may snap your arm, from forearm to shoulder! no acrobatics needed!!! I wouldnt even spin!lol! ITS NOT THE ART, ITS HOW AND WHEN YOU USE IT!!!! I may not use a "WuShu" form to snap the arm... I may use a "JuJitsu" form, but I could not tell you untill you threw the punch... get it? the color of a belt, can be a false sence of accomplishment.
