sansoouser Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 Does anybody know anything about San Soo and how it compares to other styles? The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.
Thuggish Posted June 23, 2003 Posted June 23, 2003 san shou. similar to muay thai. look it up on google, youll see. in ring, no elbows, more throws, like with leg catches. san shou vs muay thai, big debate, blah blah blah. im better. no im better. no hes better. but hes really good too. and so on. its funny though, because i heard both are allegedly competing to become an olympic sport, and im thinkin- my a55. boxing is contraversial as it is in the olympics, brutal kickboxing doesnt have a chance at making it in. anyway, yea, san shou is what it is. a broken arm throws no punches
Treebranch Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 Thuggish it's not San Shou it's San Soo. San Soo is a Combat MA and you know what San Shou is already. Thuggish Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 hahaha, thats funny. really though, how would one describe the style of san soo? (like tkd is much flashy high kicks, muay thai is kickboxing with knees and elbows and super powerful kicks, BJJ is grappling that takes it to the ground a lot, etc etc) a broken arm throws no punches
