sansoouser Posted June 22, 2003 Posted June 22, 2003 How does it compare to karate in things like self defense, street fights, and bar fights. Techniques used and is it hard or soft blocks? Does it use more punching than kicking? Or throwing? The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.
Treebranch Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 How does San Soo compare to Karate or to our own Style? Not sure what your asking. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
broomhilda000 Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 the style of karate you take, but i guess your style in train in to so any style, from tkd to kung fu any of them. Be as a tranquil pool of water in the woods. Calm, collected, reflecting on its surface all that is around it. Make your own mind such a quiet mirror reflecting the mind of the opponent. Even as your partner's impulse to attack passes through his mind it should be reflected in you.The safest battle is the one that is never fought
