How does san soo compare to other styles, preferably from your own style so you can give facts about your own not just readings. I will give you an overviw of San Soo. It is supposibly one of the best modern street self defense MA's ( i am biased towards it soo... ) it uses your opponents force against him for example if you groin kick they, on guys mostly, they will bend over forwards quite rapidly so if you were to uppercut them as they were comming down from the pain you could do much more damage to them using less force. ( I think Yogi used a close definition to this in another forum ) THanks

The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.

Well, I don't know much about San Soo but from what you've said it may have the same principals as judo throws but San Soo includes more punches and kicks but judo specializes in throws arebars and chokes. So I

that they are similar in the throwing techniques but judo uses very little strikes mostly all of which are taught at black belt level.

Be as a tranquil pool of water in the woods. Calm, collected, reflecting on its surface all that is around it. Make your own mind such a quiet mirror reflecting the mind of the opponent. Even as your partner's impulse to attack passes through his mind it should be reflected in you.
