Hill Billy wrestling isn't a real form of fighting just sortave a phrase. It deals with using your surroundings. Things like slamming them against a wall, or making them run or backup and trip over a curb, push against a tree and things like that. And since I have 3 older brothers and we use to fight alot thats where the hill billy comes in, it toughens you up when you fight everyday, you can take more hits and dish out more. But i'd just like your opinions on this " Hill Billy Wrestling "

thanks

Be as a tranquil pool of water in the woods. Calm, collected, reflecting on its surface all that is around it. Make your own mind such a quiet mirror reflecting the mind of the opponent. Even as your partner's impulse to attack passes through his mind it should be reflected in you.

All good martial arts (except those focusing on sport only) incorporate tactics that can be categorized as hillbilly wrestling. Krav Maga, Kali/Escrima, Ninjutsu, Systema and so on, all have their methods of using the surroundings to your advantage.

It is very good to take advantage of your surroundings, this is a true sign of a warrior. One of my favorite things to do when sparring is to back my opponent into another group that is fighting and when they have their moment of distraction looking at who they ran into, give them a quick backfist to remind them where the real threat is, you. Also back an opponent into a chair, table, or like you said, a curb, make them trip and take them to the ground or back off and just laugh at them, make it a psychological fight, get them angry so that they are sloppy and keep running them into things. Have fun.
