pvwingchun Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 $100/a month sounds about right for a MMA but not for a traditional art,no offense,What does that have to do with anything. Cost is relative to several factors. I beleive that the heart of the matter is if you ara or were uncomfortable you need to find another school. Wing Chun Kuen Alliancehttps://www.wing-chun.us

No offense budd, but it has alot to do with it.Why would you pay $100 to learn hardly anything when you can pay that same amount and learn so much more. My point was in traditional arts such as TKD,you learn didly squat.Because the katas mean nothing,so it's much more worth it to pay $100 for MMA,since you'd learn alot more of self-defense.
MuayThai Fighter Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 A traditional art should only charge $50-$75 a month at most. That's the cost of most of thes traditional art schools,at least last time I did karate it was.
Martial_Artist Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 When I used to teach I taught for $100 US an hour. I wasn't hurting for students either. I don't teach anymore, but $100/mo is fine for quality instruction regardless of where you categorize it. pvwingchun Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 A traditional art should only charge $50-$75 a month at most.Who are you to say what another school should charge. There are so many factors that go in to it. It has absolutely nothing to do with the school being a school of a traditional art or an mma. It has everything to do with where you are located, the city or town, population, the clientele and what they can afford. And literally dozens of other factors. What if the MMA school teaches absolute garbage and the instructors themselves have only been training for a year or two, then is it still worth $100.00? And what if the self defense they teach is no good? Cost is relative to what the individual feels it is worth. Cost of my training. Priceless. Wing Chun Kuen Alliancehttps://www.wing-chun.us
ninjanurse Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 $100 dollars a month for a minimum of 3 1 hour classes per week breaks down to about $8 dollars per hour for instruction. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me! Think about what you pay to go see a movie these days...geez!!!!
