devilthaiboxer Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Has anyone ever (in there opinion) misused their martial arts in a way that they now think was wrong and could have been easily avoided. I'd quote bruce lee but to me he's just another person who got lucky

shotochem Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Yes..... I really, really, should have used a saw but I just had to smash those 2x4 with my hands.... Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.
Budderfly Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 besides play-fighting/wrestling with my boyfriend, no.
GuyverGirl Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Same, I just use it to pick on my boyfriend and Brother, but my brother is alot better (he has been in martial arts very intensly) so I get handled pretty easily when I try to use it on him..
Pacificshore Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Not that I can recall..............then again, I can't remember yesterday!! Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
kilo Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Well this one time at Band Camp....seriously no I havent. Kendo is like starwars and everyone gets to be Darth Vader."Luke, I am your sensei"
G95champ Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Only thing I ever regret is showing people something just to be friendly and then you see them doing it to someone else. Its not that you mind but it leads to people misusing MA and I always feel bad after I do that. Being a teacher I find myself doing it a lot without thinking and school is a bad place for kids to be learning a wrist lock. LOL... (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
Kirves Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Yeah, I regret just telling anyone that I train any martial art. It really was a mistake.
