monkeygirl Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 I haven't seen the original, but I've seen one of the sequels, and it was a terrible movie. I mean, I know that all MA movies are going to be pretty corny, but the entire movie was a forehead-slapper, and the action was pretty lame, too. However, I have heard that the first one is very good, so maybe it's just a Sequel Syndrome. 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
Tombstone Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 I've seen it and hated it. I thought it was a really boring movie.
karate_woman Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 I enjoyed it more the first few times I saw it, then I saw it with my Mom and husband and they hated it because of the acting; it kind of ruined the experience for me The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. -Lao-Tse
rb Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 I thought is was a horrible movie. I'd lump it in the same league as bloodsport... well maybe not that horrible.
Tibby Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 I liked it. It wasn't GREAT, but it was good. They should ahve spent les time talking, more time fighting! Never saw the Sequals, but most Martial Arts movies have bad sequals. I mean, look at American Ninja, watching all 5 of those in a row is proof enough to upset Darwin! It just get exponentially worse!
IAMA_chick Posted June 8, 2003 Author Posted June 8, 2003 i haven't seen the sequels but i heard they were horrible. and the acting isn't great but the movie as a whole is good i think. Tae Kwon Do15-years oldpurple--belt
G95champ Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 Sorry dude I was and am a big fan of bloodsport however I don't care a lot for JCVD. LOL (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
Tibby Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 Yeah, Bloosport was a good movie. Personally, I like JCVD, but his rescent movies suck! Legionnaire was bad enough, nothing after it is worth seeing.
IAMA_chick Posted June 17, 2003 Author Posted June 17, 2003 Sorry dude I was and am a big fan of bloodsport however I don't care a lot for JCVD. LOL i'm not a dude and i have no idea what u r taking about Tae Kwon Do15-years oldpurple--belt
