Thanx for the great information though. It was much needed. Oh, I see. Well even so, it will be hard for you to adapt to wing chun from karate, and even more so if you continue to do karate. But if you combine the two, the result could be pretty awesome!
GoldDragon Posted September 22, 2001 Posted September 22, 2001 AWESOME indeed!! It freaks me out when I fight in tourneys....... I switch styles constantly.... Kung Fu Black Belt 1st DanGoldDragon Academy-------------------------Represenitive for Paltalk.com *-*-*-*-Mouser (Palhelp)*-*-*-*-*-
moobrack Posted September 23, 2001 Author Posted September 23, 2001 I hear that wing chun is an attacking art which when you block you don't actually stop the other persons energy flow.you just redirect it. GoldDragon Posted September 24, 2001 Posted September 24, 2001 WingChun= Sticky Hands. If you were gonna punch me I wouldnt block and attach ( using WingChun) I would block and and stay with your attacks at all times. My arms will be 'attached' to your arms. Its almost like fightning against your own CHI power. Its a weird yet outstanding Art!! Pangamut Posted September 27, 2001 Posted September 27, 2001 Depends on the student, the teacher, the branch being studied, etc., etc. Different branches of the art teach different things.
