47MartialMan Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 The Tao of Pooh, by Benjamin Hoff as well. Funny you should mention this. Out of 100+ books I have collected over 30+ years, this one was strangely interesting. it was given to me by my grandchild, my 14 year old niece years ago. (well she is no longer 14)

scottnshelly Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 Not a complete list of my books, but these are the ones that are rarely on the book shelf: Tao of Jeet Kun Do - Bruce Lee Sun Tzu (aka the Art of War) Bubishi - translated by Patrick McCarthy Mind Manipulation - Dr. Haha Lung i've been trying to build on my collection. i appreciate this thread, now i know what is valuable information. i read a book or two by Ashida Kim. Has anyone else wasted their time/money on this quack?
47MartialMan Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Mind Manipulation - Dr. Haha Lung Never heard of this one. What is a broef description?
gcav Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 There are some realy nice reference materials listed in this thread. Thanks for sharing. Train like your life depends on it....Because it does.
47MartialMan Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 gcav, Over 30 years, I cannot possibly (maybe), list all of my reference material. My wife says I have a "mini library". Though, most of these reference materials, I did not obtain personally. Friends and family, donated the vast majority, say 98% But it is nice to see others posted. Perhaps I will "look them up"
scottnshelly Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Mind Manipulation - Dr. Haha Lung Never heard of this one. What is a broef description? It is a pretty interesting book into the psycological parts of the mind. it's definately not an instruction book on hypnosys or controlling other people, but it gives you an idea on some the above topics. it also describes a lot about the ancient and modern Ninja. It explains how and why the Ninja uses mind ploys. it gives several (can't remember exactly how many) different attacks - i.e. anger, seduction, sympathy. gives tips on how to avoid cons. also touches on the zodiak signs and hours it's a lot better than the Ashida Kim book with a similar title. definately a recommended book
gcav Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 47MartialMan - I know the feeling. I have several large moving boxes in my attic stuffed full of books, mags, notes, pics, etc. One of these days I'll get around to organizing all of it. Train like your life depends on it....Because it does.
