there are kicks but they are very much like the hand movements by which i mean that they are simple and direct.

 

also, we don't really learn to use kicks until we have our hands and stance sorted out cos if you get used to kicking too early on in your training, you run the risk of compromising your stance.

post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are.

in wing chun we use medium to low side kicks and front kicks

 

theres another kick but i dunt know the name... it was used in Jet Li's 'the one' movie when he kicked the pole down....

 

since wingchun is mainly used as close quarter combat... we normal only use our hands/ arms b/c there is no room to kick at the point of contact.

 

in wing chun we dont realli emphasis kicking..

 

i guess we normally kick to break the knees.. or soething like that...

generally, we use the feet when the hands are tied.

 

normally, if our hands are tied into position (locked or what-ever) we only need to shift stance to release our hands. how-ever, there will be times when it is advantageous to kick instead of shifting stance.

 

either way is an example of using our feet.
