aes Posted June 10, 2003 Author Posted June 10, 2003 Wow! Awesome job! Impressive kata indeed at yellow belt - I didn't see anyone below red belt performing a bo kata on Sunday, and certainly not Matsu Higa No Bo! Well there is lots of room for improvement, but she did very well for only 3 weeks of training on the Bo. She seems to have a natural talent for Karate. I have to work at it much harder to learn, but luckily we are both at the same level belt wise and can help each other out. BTW are you going to the Collingwood tournement on the 21st of this month? 43 Years oldBlue Belt (7th Kyu) Shorin-ryuRoberts Karate
karate_woman Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 I think I will go to Collingwood. I'm going to register in person sometime this week. I am not sure what to compete in though. Kumite for sure, but I'm not sure about kata - probably though. I'll wait on weapons until I've learned Chatan Yara No Bo - I'd feel outclassed with Matsu Higa No Bo in the Black Belt division. If we attend, we will compete in weapons and Kata. It is not very likely we would compete in Kumite because we have not had any chance to practice it yet. 43 Years oldBlue Belt (7th Kyu) Shorin-ryuRoberts Karate
