Hi all :) I have been seriously thinking of joining a karate club near me that teaches Wado-Ryu.What sort of style is this and do you think it would be best for me? Im 27 quite fit and I am finally going to do something about takeing up karate as its something I have been wanting to do for a very long time! Any advice on this would be very greatful :)

Welcome. I believe there are some Wado people on board. From my general knowledge, it is a Japanese hybrid of Shotokan, but somewhat of a softer version. In other words, rather than utilizing direct blocks and such, they deflect. Otherwise it's pretty much like Shotokan.
