monkeygirl Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 The Game Threads forum is for threads that are games themselves. If you wish to discuss video games, that would go under General Chat. I'll move this one there 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
Kyle-san Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 Honestly, I just want Soul Calibur 2 so much that I'm not caring about much else right now.
Tombstone Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 I've never heard of any of them (don't yell at me ) I quit playing fighter games when Mortal Kombat was still cool
DokterVet Posted May 14, 2003 Posted May 14, 2003 Mortal Kombat is still cool! I bought the latest one about six months ago. Soul Callibur 2 looks really cool. I might pick it up for gamecube. As far as fighting games go though, I wish I had a PS2. Tekken 4, VF4, it's got all the goods. edit: The only problem with SC2 is, at least in the arcade, it's super easy in single player. I beat it on one quarter at the movie theatre my first time playing it. I had played the first a fair bit, but was no expert. 22 years oldShootwrestlingFormerly Wado-Kai Karate

SC2 in the arcade learns as more people play it, and depends on the difficulty setting which is set when it's installed. The machine I used to play on had a ton of people playing, so it got very hard very quick.
Shogun Posted May 15, 2003 Author Posted May 15, 2003 yes..soul calibur II is so cool...it comes out in august i think...*drool* Man to man, Soldier to soldier, Dust to dust.

I think the one I played on was brand new. 22 years oldShootwrestlingFormerly Wado-Kai Karate
King of Fighters Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Ok, mortal kombat is a piece of crap, vf4 is alright, and soul calibur 2 looks friggan awesome. I love the first one so much. A really great fighting game though is Guilty gear x2, thats an amazing game. Marvel vs capcom 2 and capcom vs snk 2 are also really good. Dead or alive 3 is ok, but doa 2 is much better. Tekken 4 is fairly good. The best system for fighting games is the dreamcast, followed by the ps2, then the ps1, then gc. And last comes the xbox, a system who cant make any good fighters except the ones that come multiplatform.
Shogun Posted May 23, 2003 Author Posted May 23, 2003 well ugh ok...you think Dreamcast is better than ps2 and ps1 is better than GC? thats just weird man... i played tekken4 the other day and it was alot of fun. the only problem i had was that the characters seemed to move a little slower than i would like them to. Man to man, Soldier to soldier, Dust to dust.
