yes i see your point and am simply stating its not rational. there is a BIG diffrence between a compairson of shot in the stomach and hunger, than there is ki and the force of attraction. no surgeon can remove your ki, nor can he remove the force of attraction from your body. what im saying is you can give me a medical deffinition of why your stomach growls or why you feel pain in the stomach when hit there but you can not give me a medical deffinition of ki or the force of attraction, not one that is acurate hard as you may try because they are, in a scence, spiritual intities. im not arguing now that im correct, simply that i have a valid theory worthy of consideration.

And I'm not arguing that you're incorrect, I'm simply trying to improve your theory by pointing out the holes that I can see. As it stands, I still see no fundamental difference between my examples and your theory (with the obvious exception of scientific definition).

NOW, kylesan, how do you think i should go about experimenting? i cant use myself as a host, i dont have enough ki control, or is that the idea, to use a controled and an uncontrolled subject.

Ah, unfortunately we've now hit the limit of how I can help. I don't have a lot of practice with chi, so I'd suggest waiting until another member of this board comes along. Jerry Love has some excellent advice when it comes to chi, so I'd suggest asking his some questions.

thats an understatement, jerry love is a freakin genius, but his avaliability is rare. but when you get it, you get it.

Sorry guys (and thanks for the compliments), I've been on vacation.

I noticied when i looked at her, and felt that little tingling you get when you like someone, that it was about three points below the nvel and spread upward like a glowing light, the same place were your ki is supposed to be! so i was wondering, does ki maybe have something to do with the force that attracts us to people? because if so i think i have a lot of ki.

The Chinese hold that sex releases chi from your body (specifically ejaculation); and if you go without sex for a bit, you'll certainly see the change in pent-up energy...

Though there are a couple possabilityies, let's assume that you were feeling chi at the moment you describe... My first guess would be you got excited / nervous, and your bodey started preparing for action. Endorphins and adreneline were released into your blood, your body flushed and plams sweat, and chi starts coming circulating.

The Dan Tien (tat spot below your belly-button) is a store-house of energy for your body... so that is one spot it would come from; though I admit that I have not felt it move out of there in the creeping sensation you seem to be describing.

I don't believe chi has much to do with attraction (directly, it's probibly one of the many subleties taht comes across in establishing your opinion of someone), but I have no doubt that the nervous excitement probibly going on would cause it to start circulating.

NOW, kylesan, how do you think i should go about experimenting? i cant use myself as a host, i dont have enough ki control, or is that the idea, to use a controled and an uncontrolled subject.

Sorry if I failed to follow somewhere... with whar aer we experimenting? Are you trying to discern weather this sensation in chi related or not? hmm..

thanks jerrylove. im trying to approach this scientifically. you about nailed. i never guess, we must test! and im convinced we can test chi just like we can test anything else. we just need subjects....

Hmm. Won't it be hard to test that particular subject without bias?

I know there is a physiological response - rather like what you are describing people have when being "attracted to each other", when people are getting aroused, and these are changes in our bodies that can occur with, or without, a partner. Not being a guy, I can't comment from the guy side, but I can relate from a woman's point of view.

your right, because its not possible to do a well controled experiment, theres to much theory on what constitutes as chi and what dosent. and yet i can see enough evidence in both directions for this to be a highly arguable subject, wouldnt you agree Jerry?

Just a thought but it depends on your level of attraction. Physical attraction or lust can probably be written off as something else.

However that feeling when you meet someone and instantly like them, or dislike them, whether they are male or female, I think can be put down to this.

If everything is energy, and this energy exists in everything, who is to say it cant communicate on a level that we dont understand??
