CheekyMusician
Does anyone grow bonsai here? I've been trying to grow bonsai for a while (totally failed to even get some tree seed to germanate though!). Anyway, I finally just went and bought a bonsai, but was wondering how to take care of it, what needs to be done to it and when etc? Thanks in advance for any advice anyone can give me. Smile. It makes people wonder what you've been up to.

Shorin Ryuu
I've only recently got one, and it was one that was already formed. Its a Chinese Elm (I live in a dorm so its easy to keep indoors). Hopefully I can get into it some more... Martial Arts Blog:http://bujutsublogger.blogspot.com/

Hopefully I can get into it some more... Good luck keeping it alive during the winter... I almost lost mine to the dry indoor air, its better to let them go dormant with some cooler winter air than keep them going in the warmer indoor air. I am just getting mine to come back, and will have to watch it very carefully during the summer so that it doesn't get too dry with all the midwestern heat. I probably should trim some of the branches back a bit too. On a side note, my lucky bamboo (which in the United States turns out to be a variant of corn) will probably grow at least another foot or more this summer, which might mean that eventually I am going to have to transplant it out of the pot and into the ground (like at my parents) cause I am sure that my apartment complex would be really happy with me planting lucky bamboo on the premises! SaiFightsMS
I have heard of dogs eating trees and cats eating shamrock plants but that is the first time I have heard of a cat eating a bonsai.
