monkeygirl Posted May 7, 2003 Posted May 7, 2003 Once I've stretched out for a bit, I can do splits. It depends on how tight/sore I am. Three years ago, I used to be able to do a split, cold (no stretching beforehand). Since then, I started MA and built some muscle. My joints aren't so loosey-goosey anymore 1st dan & Asst. Anduina Posted May 7, 2003 Posted May 7, 2003 I can do splits, but only becouse when I was a little girl(5-15 years) I was dancing in a group. So now it isn't any problem A little bit of warming up and I can do what I wont
jake Posted May 7, 2003 Posted May 7, 2003 i can only do splits after i warmed up and stretched a little bit. i never could before i started martial arts. i never even thought i could do splits until i started. but since then i can do it lots.
Faunus Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 I try and stay very flexible since my sparring style revolves around kicks, kicks and more kicks. (Not a good thing, gotta work on that..) I strech 20 minutes every day, and yes, I can do the splits Head Kick....
karatekid1975 Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 I can't do side splits yet (for side kick flexibility)..... gggrrrrrr. I'm still working on those. I have six inches to go. That's when it gets tough, I heard ( the last few inches). Laurie F
