Synaesthesia Posted May 21, 2003 Posted May 21, 2003 I don't think you guys are giving enough credit to the self-control of these famous masters. They are, many of them, known in part because of their teaching skills. Most good teachers don't pound students to the ground every time they spar.
Anzie Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Not that she's a martial artist, but I'd very much like to grapple with Britney Spears or Jennifer Lopez. Grappling enthusiast!Shootfighting as well.
monkeygirl Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 I'd like to spar with Bill "Superfoot" Wallace...and will! He's coming to my dojo on June 7th So happy! 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
theSaj Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Hmm...how 'bout Cynthia Rothrock? hmm...it'd be fun....and I'd have a nice view from lying on the ground. *LOL* Looking for an art to study...
WolverineGuy Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I'd have to go with Rickson Gracie or Jigoro Kano. Two men that have incredible understanding of balance and body mechanics Wolverine1st Dan - Kalkinodo"Shut up brain, or I'll stab you with a q-tip""There is no spoon."
G Money Slick Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Jean Claude Van Damme so I can kick his Ballet dancing *! No just kidding. I've always wanted to spar against Jackie Chan just because his fight scenes are always so intense. If your enemy refuses to be humbled......you must destroy him.
benkendrick Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 I personally would not want to spar any of the legends or masters. Now if I could train or learn from them !!!! Agreed... With that said now, two names that come to my mind are Kyan Chotoku and Motobu Choki... I would really like to see their karate first hand (if only to see how much it has or has not been changed over the years...) Ben Kendrick"The more you sweat in training the less you bleed in battle..."
Guitar_lover Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 Raiden, now that would be cool! or errrr Lu Kang but he is dead now PEACE AND LOVE."When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace"
Fat Donkey Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 William Shatner or George W Bush. And don't say Shatner aint no MA. The first judo throw, karate chop, arm lock, hook and any number of moves I saw him do on trek. George because I don't think his parents beat him enough and u really can't do any more brain damage. Donkey
Ironberg Posted April 29, 2004 Posted April 29, 2004 I'd spar with Chuck Norris - he's also a kicker and could school me well. "An enlightened man would offer a weary traveler a bed for the night, and invite him to share a civilized conversation over a bowl of... Cocoa Puffs."
