King of Fighters Posted May 4, 2003 Posted May 4, 2003 Are tae kwon do and northern shaolin kung fu similar? Could you please list their similarities and differences? And this isnt a vs forum because those arnt allowed anymore, but please feel free to say which you think is better.
King of Fighters Posted May 5, 2003 Author Posted May 5, 2003 I was thinking tht maybe they were both similar because they both use high kicks and I was wondering if they had anyother similarities?
Karateka_latino Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 I dont know, from what i see, that's about IT. Similarity on High Kicks. flying, leaping, etc.... Northen Kung fu also uses a lot of Long distance punches
Sepultura Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 i cant find any similarity between both.mainly all MA styles have ''high kicking''.and tae kwon do fighting lacks punches .its only kicking and kicking (no offense tae keon doists )...
ninjanurse Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 i cant find any similarity between both.mainly all MA styles have ''high kicking''.and tae kwon do fighting lacks punches .its only kicking and kicking (no offense tae keon doists )... JIUJITSUFIGHTER Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 northern shaolin is very different, i know a master in the art. his website provides valuable info, here it is.. . lornebernard.com or that might not be the site, but look up sifu lorne bernard and the info will follow. jiu-jitsu is invicinble
Sepultura Posted May 5, 2003 Posted May 5, 2003 ninjanurse , all martial arts have hand techniques,i meant that in a tae kwon do fight,u never see anyone throwing a punch on the other.its all abt kicking.on theother hand, northern shaolin styles use legs and hands in a fight.
