KaratekaAikidoist
Kendo is a sword art, Kenpo is a martial art but it also has flower arangments and horsback riding, etc. and Kempo is a type of MA with animal strikes but not like Kung Fu I'm not positive between Kenpo and Kempo, they may be switched. AndrewGreen
kempo & Kenpo are the same word romanized differently. One (kenpo) usually refers to Ed Parkers "American Kenpo-Karate" lineage though. But they are the same thing. They mean "Fist Law", kendo means "sword way" Andrew Greenhttp://innovativema.ca - All the top martial arts news! monkeygirl
Kendo is the weapons art where you wear lots and lots of heavy armor and slash at each other with swords. Kempo and Kenpo are the same thing; a style of karate. I suppose just like anything else, there are sub-styles of them that might make them appear different. 1st dan & Asst. Oh my, no disrespect, but I think kenpo somehow got mixed up with summer camp. Kaju_influenced
Hey guys i thought to help u reach farther back into the roots of kempo/kenpo. True ed parker was indeed a practitioner however i am currently doing kajukenbo which is a mixture of karate/tang soo do, dan zanryu judo/jujitsu old pine tree kempo and si lum gung fu. The m in the the kempo is usually there to give respects to the great Mitose/ grandfather of kempo like some other braches of kajukenbo which spell it with a m instead of an n :kajukeNbo/kajukeMbo. N e ways i find its very hard to actually find the real oringines because of the widespread effect kempo has hade on america and the rest of the world. "Sweat more in the dojo, bleed less in the street"Kajukenbo fighters axiom.
