Because killing them doesn't end anything. It makes it grow into martyrdom. People aren't realising that you should try to figure out why they do this. Why do they have such hatred? What made them hate the American's so much? Those are the questions people should be asking. Not, what are we going to bomb them with or how would you recommend killing them. That is not justice. It is just the beginning of the end.

They hate us because we are helping keep the Israeli's keep them off of their land. The Palestines believe that it's THEIR holy land that the Israeli's occupy. It's all about real-estate, the Palestines want it, the Israeli's won't give it up. We help the Israeli's and now they hate us. THey wan't to kill our innocent people over a big piece of sand.

Should we let them have it and then have the fundamentalist Jewish people terrorising us instead?

These are war driven people. They'll find any excuse to wage war on the Jewish people because they think differently. The Israeli's are just as guilty. What should we do?

The Gulf War didn't help much either. However, we can not dwell on the past much less change it. We can, however, work towards the future. In the end, I believe we should just leave each other alone.

Ken's answer is exactly right - the US got involved and it pissed-off the Palestines. If you want to understand how all of this started, just go to cnn.com or any other news website and read the history. Osama bin Ladin got PO'd at the States way back in the Gulf War. Read up on it and then you'll understand that there is no reasoning with these people - they are radicals. Please you guys, we are not advocating war - I just don't think you all understand that we HAVE TO do this in order to protect ourselves and democracy - this is the reality - nobody wants to go to war and kill! If we don't however, we are in danger of losing our way of life and all that we cherish - these people are already at war with us, so now it's a matter of survival...either strike back or be defeated. Do you realize that Osama has a huge network of terrorists in North America RIGHT NOW that he can call on to take action???? I don't know about all of you, but I'm very afraid - and you should all be too... I thank God that we have the States to stand up and fight - and Canada will be right there beside them in this war against terrorism.

In the end, we may end up as victors; but our children will be the losers in the end.

I agree with KickButt.

BTW, did you see the vote for the House (or whatever it was) where there was a vote to give Bush permission to use force and do what he feels is neccessary? The vote was like 420 to 1? That 1 was a lady from California. I have to say that its a shame that that individual cannot see what has to be done here. She probably just did it to (a.) gain attention or (b.) she doesn't like Bush.

Either way, it is not good when just one person does that, because it looks like we may not all be united in the same goal!

when we are victorious we will have protected our freedom our way of life and made sure our childrens future would have a world that is safe from terrorism or any other threat to our great nation...

Surprisingly, I happen to agree whole-heartedly with the way things are being carried out at the moment...

Despite what people have said about Bush in the past, he has to be commended for getting the job done without being too rash, and therefore tending to the expectations of the majority.

The meaning behind what I said about our children is that, what happens if we try to make peace. There is so much conflict. I am not going to talk about it anymore. All I hope is that, when I get older and join my military, I won't be ordered to bomb a city or kill civilians.
