Kickbutt Posted September 14, 2001 Author Posted September 14, 2001 Hey Tommy - I was wondering how u were doing just this morning, as we hadn't heard from you yet. I wholoheartedly agree - those rescue workers are true heroes and literally gave their lives. They will always be remembered. Kickbutt Posted September 14, 2001 Author Posted September 14, 2001 Hey everyone, The Police just came into our offices to check the roof (we're on the top floor), because we're located right across the street from the US Embassy here in Vancouver, Canada. It's really scary when you think about it. I wanted to go home on the day of the bombings because of our location... Anyways - here in Vancouver at 4 o'clock PT, we will ALL be going outside and lighting a candle and observing one minute of silence to remember all of the people who lost their lives on that tragic day and the days to follow... OK - just found out that now they're installing surveillance equipment here... Damn these terrorists - I'm feeling a bit insecure now, although I know it's probably for preventive purposes, it still scares me. Iron Arahat Posted September 14, 2001 Posted September 14, 2001 We had a minute of silence at 10:00am yesterday. I feel for the victims in their families. Also especially for all the fire department and law enforment personnel. May you rest in peace my fallen brothers and sisters. You will greatly missed by the communities that you served. Your bravery, honour, and your heart will never be forgotten. Martial Arts School http://www.shaolinwushu.cahttp://www.liveyyc.comCalgary Photographer: http://www.jdirom.com
Karateka Posted September 14, 2001 Posted September 14, 2001 This is a great tragedy. Not only is there great sense of loss, there is also a great sense of anger. The American people it seems, wants blood. People say we must wage war. Against who, are you going to wage war against the terrorists or against the countries they are in. If your administration decides to go after the terrorists, then they must do it according to law and not to bomb them. If they go after countries they may hit the terrorist, but they will definately bomb innocent civilians. Some may say that it is poetic justice. How did you feel when your innocents were killed or injured. They will feel the same way. It will spark an international war. It will lead eventually to chaos and death. I personally feel that war is wrong. I also feel that what these terrorist cowards did is wrong. The best way to get revenge is to put them in jail for life and take away their rights inside prison. To kill them is making their cause even greater. My hopes, prayers, and condolenses go out to those poor husbands, wives, sons and daughters who died so tragically and foolishly. thaiboxerken Posted September 15, 2001 Posted September 15, 2001 A jailed terrorist regime can still conduct, plan and execute actions from with prison. You don't think that other terrorists will do what they can to free their "wrongly jailed" brethren? We've seen it before. Plus, why should our tax-payers pay to clothe, feed and lodge these people that are less than human? Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
