Frogman Posted May 2, 2003 Posted May 2, 2003 I recently rented the action flick 'The Transporter'. WOW! - What a kick butt action film this was. Who was the lead star of this film, he seemed to be a kickboxer type of some kind? Is he some European martial-arts action star that is working on making a name for himself in the U.S.?
MSPav Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 Uh, no, he's not a European MA star. Jason Statham has been in some other British movies, namely Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. He's an ex-Olympic diver turned actor. You liked that film?
Shogun Posted May 15, 2003 Posted May 15, 2003 i thought it was decent. good solid fighting. Man to man, Soldier to soldier, Dust to dust.
Karateka_latino Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 It was a good film to watch for the Action Only. Its kind of a Friday night moviethat you watch with your friends. 100% macho-men movie lol Plotless and no-acting, car chasing, hot chicks, lots of good action scenes, fist fights, etc.. lol
Synaesthesia Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 I found the movie painful to watch. I like some realism in my martial art flicks. They took that movie and carefully cut out any hint of plausibility.

I can usually watch guy movies and not feel out of place, but this one... I could admire it for its coolness, but other than that... 1st dan & Asst.
