WC-Strayder Posted May 6, 2003 Posted May 6, 2003 The same old discussion of traditional styles vs the allmighty, "the one AND only", "the style of gods" the MMA again? Ohh no!!! . Is this the only thing you MMA guys can write?. "MMA is a lot better coz of this and if you don't believe me, go an se a video!". Man, I'm tired of it!. What about showing some decent respect and at least try to hold the tread?. I don't give a flying fart about MMA, I'm never gonna start with it, coz what I have is more than enough for me, so please stop picking on this al the time here!. The tread was about street fighters, not MMA, Karate, Kung Fu or whatever, so try to keep it this way. A street fighter is anyone that you may meet in the street and who attacks you. If the first lesson was a failure, then you know that skydiving isn't for you!
MantisWarrior Posted May 6, 2003 Posted May 6, 2003 a streetfighter is a cartoon-like figure and screams sonicboom or hadouken and a flashy object flys from there hands and destroys everything Fighting out of hate brings only disgrace.
Treebranch Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 Well if you make it a habit of fighting on the street, your a streetfighter. Or if you fight with the street, I guess. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
Kyle-san Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 for more information see Sonny Chiba ... That was wonderful, I can't believe I didn't notice earlier.
Kaju_influenced Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 IMO a streetfighter is exactly what it means, a fighter whom tests his skill in the street/club/bar..ect. My father was like that pretending to be drunk while carfully dropping 20 dollar bills from his pocket then when someone whould pick on him wammm he nailed them. My dicipline was buiilt on by metaphysical like steertfighters in hawaii post wwII they called themselfs the blackbelt society (Kajukenbo) 5 of them combined there styles to create a more street effective invincible style and these guys really took it to the extreme Especially in the trsining breaking bones and puking from exaustion was an every day ocurrance. "Sweat more in the dojo, bleed less in the street"Kajukenbo fighters axiom.
