aznkarateboi Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 how does cuong nhu compare to other karate styles?
FlailingLimbs Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 yeah, next to Okuyama karate, I've never even HEARD of this style. It sounds Taiwanese. ===================When cornered, kick 'em in the spetznats. If that doesn't work, run around acting like an epilept + flail your arms about while whizzin' in your pants, then fall down foaming at the mouth. They'll be so disgusted THEY will walk away from the fight....
Sepultura Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 never heard of ths style, can u tell us more abt it?
tommarker Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 http://www.cuongnhu.com/About.html apparently a hybrid style designed by a Vietnamese gentleman. Cuong is vietnamese for hard, and nhu means soft. I'm no longer posting here. Adios.
aznkarateboi Posted April 30, 2003 Author Posted April 30, 2003 its a hybrid style, i took it at my chinese school and the teacher sucked ass so i quit. i think it has mainly karate, some aikido, some boxing, etc. and its vietnamese
FlailingLimbs Posted May 1, 2003 Posted May 1, 2003 VIETNAMESE! that's it! not Taiwanese! I know someone named Cuong (KOO-NG)...so his name is "hard" huh? interesting. ===================When cornered, kick 'em in the spetznats. If that doesn't work, run around acting like an epilept + flail your arms about while whizzin' in your pants, then fall down foaming at the mouth. They'll be so disgusted THEY will walk away from the fight....
WhiteBelt Posted May 4, 2003 Posted May 4, 2003 The Vietnamese language uses a lot of accents for each letter and for different combinations of letters. So if that guy's name is spelled the same way it could still be very different. There are even three dialects, for the north, middle, and south.
