1stly i'll say the bigger the opponent the bigger the target..

2ndly not only do the taller reap their benefits but also do the shorter i believe its all generally a matter of strategy and utilizing your traits correctly.

If with it u were blessed

then defeat shall be oppressed.

I like the original posts, in which actual advice was being given instead of an advertisement for their art. Most effective MA have scenarios for dealing with smaller individuals taking on larger opponents. I especially like the story of the kick to the knee. Which one is best is a personal choice based on many factors.

I can tell you from the receiving end (I'm 6' 300 lbs), that a kick to my knee has a far better chance than kicking me in the junk. I have been kicked in the junk many times before, and a few were show stoppers, but most either missed me, glanced off or once, hit me so hard the pain was actually delayed! (I threw up later though). However, there are two knees and more opportunities to hit them. Let's face it a big house with no foundation is just a pile of rubble. At the very least, a good knee kick will slow them up if you try to run. Additionally, you don't usually have to get as close to the opponent to hit a knee since they'll frequently have one leg closer to you than their body.

Just remember you can run faster scared than they can angry...lol, just kidding, try a defensive side kick to stun them so you can get out of there, avoiding a conflict at all cost is good, However sometimes it doesn't work. Just use basic martial arts, most people (not involed in MA) don't spar a couple times a week, so use quickness and speed to kick butt.

Kick them in the *... a nice, straight, fast rising kick with the shin. Smack some dude in the cods and he's just not gonna get back up. It's a good strategy and it's why there are so many big guys singing soprano these days.

It's quite hard to kick a guy in the groin unless you're quick enough. All guys will instinctively cover their "valuables" if they're attacked (their *, not the guy in general). Kneeing is a little easier. I do agree however that MT-style thigh kicks work well.

Also, there is a slight delay between when the guy gets hit and when he actually feels the pain. So a groin strike will work, but he can still hit you a couple times before the pain gets too much. So FOLLOW UP :karate:

Big guy grabs you. DO NOT PULL AWAY. DO NOT ATTACK HIS ARMS. You have to move FORWARD always. Stick your fingers into the base of his throat. Push as you move forward. If you need, collapse your hand into a fist. He will let go. If you have a comb, rake it across his neck. Pull his head down by the hair. Strike to the base of the skull. NEVER FIGHT HIS STRENGTH. Once he has let go, run like hell.

Personally I would get in close, hit with a few lower limb destructions (foot stomps etc) to destroy his mobility/balance/power, then blast him with head butts and elbows to the face. If I needed I'd grab his hair and twist his neck, to put him down on the ground.
