Shogun Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 (edited) bah, "jack" is a disgrace. i have only seen a few kenshin but at least they differ mildly from episode to episode. samurai jack just cuts everything that moves. oh and lets look at the title here. a samurai, with the name of JACK??? lol oh besides that the animation is horrible Edited May 12, 2003 by Shogun Man to man, Soldier to soldier, Dust to dust.
Kamidake Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 "Jack" isn't his real name. (His real name is "Samurai Ed"! )
Crucio Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 something kind of cool i found out there really are reverse blade swords. Theyre called Sakaba-tou and i found some pictures here: http://www.n-p-s.net/sakabatou.htm Although im not sure if they have historical value, or if they were made after the series. In my opinion they look pretty light, so probably after the series. Its still pretty cool though bunbu ichi
KaratekaAikidoist Posted May 17, 2003 Author Posted May 17, 2003 Very interesting. Those look almost like fantasy style blades.
Kamidake Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 How do I know? I checked his driver's license, of course! Actually, in the premiere of "Samurai Jack," they made it pretty clear that "Jack" is an alias he picked on the spur of the moment. What they didn't make clear is why he felt he needed an alias. Oh well. Cartoons are like that!
KaratekaAikidoist Posted May 19, 2003 Author Posted May 19, 2003 Oh yea, those gangster type people were calling him "jack"
Shorin Ryuu Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Yes, the show's kind of gone downhill. But the sexy voice remains. :pony: (That's a female grin, grinning for reasons men can't understand!) Haha...you know that kenshin's seiyuu (voice actor) is female, right? Martial Arts Blog:http://bujutsublogger.blogspot.com/
KaratekaAikidoist Posted May 20, 2003 Author Posted May 20, 2003 I think she was talking about jack. (not sure though)
Shorin Ryuu Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Oh, yeah, you're right... Martial Arts Blog:http://bujutsublogger.blogspot.com/
