1ONEfighting Posted April 26, 2003 Posted April 26, 2003 For those of you who didn't catch it last night, here comes the rundown. Hermes Franca defeats Rich Crunkilton via decision Both fighters showed a lot of heart, which did not make up for their collective lack of cardio. Crunkilton was caught in a deep kimura late in the fight, yet escaped at the cost of his shoulder. Duane BANG! Ludwig defeats Genki Sudo via decision Best fight of the night, hands down. It could really have gone either way, I would have been happy with a draw. Sudo is easily the most entertaining fighter out there. Wes "Cabbage" Correira defeats Sean Alvarez via TKO Cabbage showed great takedown defense and superior striking against an outweighed and one dimensional Alvarez. Rich Franklin defeats Evan Tanner via TKO This fight seemed to be stopped a little early, but had it gone longer, the result would have been the same. Pete Spratt defeats Robbie Lawler via verbal tapout Lawler was taking a lot of punishment to the legs, and called it quits when his hip popped out. Matt Hughes defeats Sean Sherk via decision Hughes showed why he is pound for pound the best fighter on Earth by defeating a game Sherk, whose style makes you think Hughes has a clone. Trainwreck Tiemeyerwishes he was R. Lee Ermey.
TJS Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 awsome card...alot of new guys but exciting none the less...anyone who doubts Muay Thai leg kicks should watch the Lawler-Spratt fight
Treebranch Posted May 10, 2003 Posted May 10, 2003 I don't think anyone doubts Muay Thai leg kicks coming from Lawler-Spratt. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
