devilthaiboxer Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 Does anyone know anything about this style of ju jitsu like what kinda techniques it uses often and how it compares to muay thai and shito ryu karate.thank you. I'd quote bruce lee but to me he's just another person who got lucky
Treebranch Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 I saw a demonstration once at Dragonfest 2002 and it look pretty effective. They use strikes to get you into some viscious locks and have grappling techniques as well. There is a 7 time Kumite Champ that is Atemi Ryu Jujitsu. It's not a competition type MA so it doesn't compare to Muy Thai, I don't know enough about Shito Ryu Karate to comment. I would look for a reputable school and check it out. Golden Panther Posted April 26, 2003 Posted April 26, 2003 I know that it was invented here in the US. I haven't heard anything good about it though.
