TJS Posted April 23, 2003 Posted April 23, 2003 this dosent really answer you question...but i have noticed that the people who claim and advertise to be the deadliest...most leathal etc...are usually not.. when you see things like "defeat anyone no matter the size/strentght/skill level..despite your age/strenght/skill level etc.....then run!

Funny, Rorion Gracie advertise Gracie jiu-jitsu using that same promo. lol
Karateka_latino Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 Krav Maga also use that promo... and both Gracie Jiu-jitsu and krav maga are effective. lol
TJS Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 no they dont..There is a big diffrence in saying something is highly effective or whatever and making up outragous advertisments.
Karateka_latino Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 I have the magazines Right Here where Rorion Ads his style is effective no matter your shape, size, skill, etc, etc... I'm not making out things. Just look any "Inside Kung Fu" magazines from the Mid-90's in which Rorion used to Wrote "Grappling with Reality" every month. He even had those two full pages advertising his over-priced videos. " Do you want the power to EASILY defeat ANY human aggressor-under Any circumstances?"...

Wing Chun Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 yeah bjj is good. but if you mean lethal as in destructive direct power, then it would geenrally have to be a striking art. i would say something like wing chun, muay thai, san shou would be lethal.
Anzie Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 I would say grappling is actually very lethal if you amply an armbar, break the arm, let the opponent lie on the ground in pain, then do his other arm. He is now paralyzed. How about break every finger? Then both legs. Then the wrists! Cool, the victim has now suffered something about 26 fractures. Now do a rear naked choke for a minute or two. (Or just do it for a minute in order to have the opponent/victim/lifeless body to live in a hospital bed eating from a tube into his arm for the rest of his life) Of course, just my two cents Grappling enthusiast!Shootfighting as well.
Treebranch Posted April 24, 2003 Posted April 24, 2003 Togakore Ryu Ninpo Taijutsu, Kung Fu San Soo, Krav Maga, Atemi Ryu Jujitsu. Grappling Arts like BJJ can be used to kill, but they don't cover weapons and how to counter weapons. So I would say MA's that have extensive weapons training are deadlier than ones that don't, for the most part.
