That was true. I did appreciate that. The W/C segment alone would have made a good promotional video.

I recall seeing something somewhere about an Isshin-Ryu school in Pennsylvania that has a deaf instructor. I think WJZ-13 in Baltimore ran a piece on her last Fall. She was very impressive, too. Excellent technique!

BRTW.. "Guido Karate".. I Love it. :D

C'mon you can't mean to tell me that after those videos were made they didn't put on their gold chains, jump in their I-ROC's and drive to Bensonhurst to play a wicked game of hand ball. I could have sworn during one of those videos I heard TKA playing in the background. I might be wrong though.

Ahhh...sometimes I miss living on the east coast. :)

Seriously though, I just re-watched the videos and certain things really bother me:

A: The emphasis on "looking good." I ralize that he is attempting to atract affluent young families, but still.... Lots'o'Dojo bunnies in those promotional videos. ;)

B: I got a strong urge to shout "Cobra Kai!" Might just be the pretty outfits.

Johnny I think he's had enough man.

I'll say when he's had enough man!

I couldn't put my finger on what I was feeling, but thank you hobbitbob for summing it up for me.

You guys are cracking me up.

I've never visited a TSK school, so as far as I know it could be the same as other large chains...some good, some bad.

However, I did notice all the major class participants in the local comercials were all kids. :dodgy: Which, to any that don't know, kids are the big $$$$ makers.

Mixed bag on tiger schullmans. Chances are if you're under 16 you are just going to be bullshido'd, however, if they do choose to seriously train you they'll use a mix of Muay Thai, Karate and BJJ.

Hey everyone...Well since the question came up about Tiger Schulmann's Karate....lolz...I've been training in the Brooklyn Bensenhurst school for about a year now...In my experience...I absolutely love the school. However i'd have to admit there are cons to the school. If money is going to be an issue then maybe TSK isn't for you. It is A LOT of $$$...sometimes i wish i had shopped around other schools first but TSK was the first one i went to...I would leave now but I've become very attached...but it is a good school. They have like 30 somewhat different schools in like 5 different states so they got to be doing something right...lolz...Contact me if you wanna learn more about the school.
