Ko Man, if there are reason why you don't like a particular style then please describe them in a more professional manner.

And while we are on the subject of Aikido, would someone please describe how much jumping/spinning is involved in that art? I am currently looking for a style that won't require me to perform Korean type kicks.

What are looking for?

Striking? Grappling?

I reccomend considering Kempo if you are looking for a striking art.

"Don't hit at all if it is honorably possible to avoid hitting; but never hit soft." - Pres. Theodore Roosevelt

"You don't have to like it, you just have to do it." - Captain Richard Marcinko, USN, Ret.

"Do more than what is required of you." - General George S. Patton

"If you have to step on someone else to stand tall, then you truely are a small person." - ?

Both are fine. I have damaged my ankle again and am not going to sacrifice my ability to walk for a jumping spin kick anymore. I enjoyed the joint locks and pressure points that Kuk Sool Won had to offer, which is why I'm looking at Aikido. Plus, it's offered close by. Kempo isn't.

But I'm not so sure of the spiritual aspect of it.

Take both Aikido and Judo for they work well when combined.

Kendo is like starwars and everyone gets to be Darth Vader.
