karatekid1975 Posted August 3, 2003 Posted August 3, 2003 (edited) I have no choice to do two or three arts. My instructors did or still do many arts, and they mix it into what we learn. It keeps things interesting. I learn something new every class, even if it's not what we "have" to learn (for rank). I like the variaty (sp?). One thing I like about my school is that it's very open to everything. "Whatever works", basically (according one of my instructors LOL). It's definitely not your typical TKD school, and that's what I love about it Edited August 5, 2003 by karatekid1975 Laurie F
CheekyMusician Posted August 3, 2003 Posted August 3, 2003 I study Shotokan karate, and want to start Tai Chi soon. I think its better to try to study two arts that contrast, as you're likely to learn more that way, instead of learning techniques that are performed in a very similar way. Smile. It makes people wonder what you've been up to.
