King of Fighters
I saw this show on TNT and it was called the top ten, and each week, it shows the top ten in stuff (like most dangerous snakes, best martial arts, ect.). It was a pretty cool show, i dont think that tae kwon do should have been on the list and i dont think that karate deserved #2 but most of the arts still deserve their place. 10. brazilian juijutsu 9. kali/escrima (basically the same art just from different parts of indoneissa) 8. krav maga 7. tae kwon do 6. aikido 5. The MA in rank 5 wasnt a very popular art, and i think it had a long name so i dont remember it. 4. Ninjutsu 3. Muay thai 2. karate 1. kung fu
omnifinite
I think number 5 was the one where they gather up their ki and hit each other in the throat and groin and such. I don't remember its name either. 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
Treebranch
Yeah, I think Shaolin Kung Fu was #1. Synaesthesia
What about tai bo?
SaiFightsMS
Tai bo is not a martial art. Tai bo is an aerobic workout that uses some of the moves found in martial arts.
SevenStar
#5 was juko kai. I think that list was quite skewed though... I wonder what they based that on
Synaesthesia
Tai bo is not a martial art. Tai bo is an aerobic workout that uses some of the moves found in martial arts. Heh, I know, it was an attempt at being facetious. That being said, I'm sure someone who's trained hard for a couple of years at Tai bo would have little trouble kicking me around. blitzcraig
OH JUIJITSUFIGHTER I see, I guess we can blame my dad for that one cuz thats whom I heard it from. But remember, their is many forms of kung-fu all originating in different areas not specifically taught by one teacher. And kung-fu was around way before alexander the great. #1"The road to tae kwan leep is an endless road leading into the herizon, you must fully understand its ways". #2"but i wanna wax the walls with people now" #1"come ed gruberman, your first lesson is here.....boot to the head" #2"ouch, you kicked me in the head", #1"you learn quickly ed gruberman"
DeeLovesKarate
From my experience, which is, of course, reputable , I have found these to be very effective: Bjj, and Shotokan. There are others, but I know that many, many people would argue them, as with shotokan. Rich_2k3
Kung Fu is supposedly the most efficient martial art, becuase of its strong emphasis on pressure points, I would probalbly say the most efficient styles of Kung fu are Jeet kun do and Wing chun. Although these MA's utilies mostly striking techniques, a MA like Jui jistu or Judo focus on grappling and throws, i suppose it depends on which way u look at it.
