DokterVet Posted April 14, 2003 Posted April 14, 2003 This guy is amazing. Not only is he effective, but he's a showman as well. Nothing's better than seeing him nail a spinning side kick, or do a cartwheel onto a guy who's on the ground. But he never seems to reveal where he gets his kicks from. I've noticed he has a huge follow-through in his roundhouses that look like Muay Thai, but he also uses side kicks, spinning techniques, etc. that would look more at home in a karate dojo. Perhaps he's just taken his favourite techniques from various styles. Either way, he's a great fighter and a lot of fun to watch. 22 years oldShootwrestlingFormerly Wado-Kai Karate
SevenStar Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 considering he trained with mo, I'm sure he's done some thai boxing. I'd bet he's done some karate before also. However, some styles of karate - family styles, and also kyokushin - maybe others, but I haven't seen it - have a roundhouse similar to the thai version.
TJS Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 yes he isa very unorthadox figheter...he is one of the only ones who has the timing ot do things like that and not get Beaten bloody. i think thats one reason so many people like him.
Karateka_latino Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 I read in an Interview that besides his Submission fighting training he also train in Traditional Japanese styles Aikido and Ninjutsu.
Venezolano Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 I like his strategy he is a smart fighter, he looks for errors on his opponents and capitalize them Valencia - Venezuela.
