Kaju_influenced Posted April 12, 2003 Posted April 12, 2003 Alright friends i am very curious as to hear peoples views and aspects on winning a streetfight, to be more clear it doesnt have to be a one on one just any kind of fight maybe if you were with some friends out in the town then a bunch of guys pick one with u or in a bar whatever u want but try to keep it simple more or less the main ideas and points to look at in winning or even surviving a fight? "Sweat more in the dojo, bleed less in the street"Kajukenbo fighters axiom.
Tombstone Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 There is no winning a "street" fight. Theres not a ref to raise your hand afterwards. Its all about surviving.
TJS Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 if someone attacks me as in not a "lets go" fight then Me walking away at the end is a victory in my eyes.
Kyle-san Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 if someone attacks me as in not a "lets go" fight then Me walking away at the end is a victory in my eyes. Pretty much. Either talking my way out or fighting/surviving.
Kaju_influenced Posted April 13, 2003 Author Posted April 13, 2003 THATS NOT THE POINT! Im talking about the key aspects of being successfull in a fight, e.i anger ,calm, tactics what .... thats the question i am curious to understand and to find out waht people think? "Sweat more in the dojo, bleed less in the street"Kajukenbo fighters axiom.
omnifinite Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 That would be the essense of combative martial arts as a whole, wouldn't it? I'm having a brainfart trying to think of where to start even... thousands of the posts here address that . 1st Dan HapkidoColored belts in Kempo and Jujitsu
BKJ1216 Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 I really don't understand what your asking. White Belt- Shudokan Karate
Northren Ogre Posted April 13, 2003 Posted April 13, 2003 My tips in"winnng" (I put winning in quotation marks for the liberals who say there is no winner in a street fight, blah, blah blah) 1. Land first.... getting hit first is a sure recipe for losing 2. Straight punches. Most street brawlers will throw wide, looping hooks. Keeping your shots down the pipe will land faster. 3.Get his shirt over his head and throw a couple of good uppercuts, followed by knees. Usually game over. 4. Once the fight goes to the ground, go for the mounted position, but rain elbows down on you opponent rather than punches....why bust up your hands..plus elbows do more damage. 5. When he's out ...get to your feet and yell down at him..."Yeah B ITCH!" http://prkickboxing.tripod.com
Kaju_influenced Posted April 13, 2003 Author Posted April 13, 2003 Thnx ogre for ur replie i just dont understand y some posters are reluctant to explain their views on being successfull in a fight Atleast some people can understand a simple question "Sweat more in the dojo, bleed less in the street"Kajukenbo fighters axiom.
Kyle-san Posted April 14, 2003 Posted April 14, 2003 Thnx ogre for ur replie i just dont understand y some posters are reluctant to explain their views on being successfull in a fight Atleast some people can understand a simple question The phrasing threw me off. I honestly didn't understand what you were getting at with your question. Perhaps if you attempted to make it clearer more people would understand what you're getting at.
