Reasons will differ from person to person, as will tat's. I can explain mine though. The family of elephants around my bicep is symbolic of my family, and how I should never let them drift. The Bull Elephant on my chest is to remind me to be strong, proud, and tackle challenges head on. The dolphin between my shoulderblades is a design that was inspired by surfing with a pod of dolphins in Mexico, and a reminder not to let my fears get the best of me. ( when they were swimming around, all I could see was the dorsal fins. I thought they were sharks at first.)

I draw all of my tattoos, and each is unique to me.

It is a very spiritual experience.

If you ever ever need to get into "bad company" you need to have tattoos that look like a) you're a tough guy or b) you were in a jail. For example, I work in security and private detective business and sometimes it helps to have a jail tattoo. To get into the company I want.
