swooshfinn Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Good Idea, I had to sit and read through the whole thread to make sure I've added to the conversation. I've FINALLY found a decent job!!! I've accepted a management in training program position with a Menard's, a home store similiar to Lowe's and Home Depot (just not nearly as big), up in Moline, Illinois. Starting out at $30K/yr, with potiential to get to 6 figures in 5-7 yrs, and lots of opportunities. Kuk Sool Won Jae JahJah Ddi (Brown Belt)
PrideampPoise Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 I practiced TKD in college ('86-'87), getting to green belt. It was mostly a "sport" type of TKD. I now study KSW, have reached blue belt, and I love it!

Kicks Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I'm a 4 Dan in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. We do the the Chang-Hon, the TaeGuek, and the Palgwe family of forms, with an occasional Karate or Chinese kata. I compete in USTU and AAU tournaments under WTF rules. This is the same as in the Olympics. We don't do much weapons, but when we do, we practice practical defenses against knives, guns, short sticks and long sticks. We use hand defenses, long sticks, short sticks, fan, nunchaku, sai, and even our own belt. when you create the world's largest trailer park, you're going to have tornadoes
